Danish group combining biomethane production with carbon capture and storage. Its Haderslev facility is listed on Puro.earth under the Puro Standard with the preliminary assessment completed, construction in progress and certification not started, so no credits have been issued. The facility is designed for about 138,000 tonnes of biogenic CO2 a year and projects more than 800,000 tonnes of net removals between 2026 and 2032. A further plant at Vesthimmerland has opened, described by the company as the largest biogas-based CCS facility, the first of five planned installations. BioCCS is an adopted CRCF methodology, no CRCF certification is confirmed for this project yet.
